This is the home page of the Simeone family, maintained by Nigel and Jasmine Simeone.

Our domain gets its name from Jasmine's long association with Lord Peter Wimsey and his creator, the detective story writer and translator of, among other things, Dante's The Divine Comedy, Dorothy L Sayers: Lord Peter Wimsey's middle names are Death Bredon. Whilst we wanted to be original, we felt that the use of the first of these names would be rather too depressing! Happily the word Bredon also has musical associations because of the settings of the A.E. Housman poem Summertime on Bredon by Butterworth and others. It also happens to be a lovely part of England.

We now live in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

We are

Nigel, who is Professor of Historical Musicology in the Department of Music at the University of Sheffield. I also have a personal page here.

Jasmine, who is a retired English teacher who now teaches private English lessons and works as a bookbinder.

Moss, who is a 5-year-old border collie type dog rescued from a dark shed in 2000.
